CORPORATE MISSION
"With today's organizations
becoming e-global and operating at the "speed of thought",
enterprises in the 21st century encounter enormous pressures to adapt to new
market conditions and face significant challenges in meeting their business
objectives. One of the most important focus areas for enterprises in the post
Y2K era is the establishment of effective organizational infrastructure and
implementation of Business Process Management."

CORPORATE HISTORY & FUTURE
Headquartered in
Montreal, Canada, Interfacing Technologies Corporation (ITC) is a leading
Canadian software and services company that is well known for its FirstSTEP
business process mapping, modeling, simulation and management software.
Working with world-class organizations over the last decade, ITC has brought
business-user oriented process management solutions, state-of-the-art tools
and technologies to a wide variety of enterprises and management consulting
firms throughout the world.
In the mid-1980s,
ITC acquired, developed and implemented MRP/ERP software solutions for small
and medium-size aerospace and manufacturing companies. While developing
extensive custom solutions in various administrative, financial and shopfloor
manufacturing IT applications, including fully automated EDI applications and
data collection facilities, ITC gained wide experience and know-how in
improving the efficiency of enterprise processes within the rigors and
tolerances of a manufacturing environment.
In 1990, ITC became a
founding member of SIMCON, a consortium of Canadian companies sponsored by the
National Research Council of Canada (NRC). The consortium was formed to
develop new and advanced software technologies for integrated manufacturing.
Other consortium members included Northern Telecom, EDS Canada and Paramax
Unisys. Prototypes were developed for creating and modeling enterprises in a
computerized virtual reality, which could then be simulated to address
different improvement ideas. This joint effort laid the foundation for the
creation of ITC's flagship product FirstSTEP, the suite of management tools
that is now used by leading enterprises around the globe.
Since late 1994, ITC
has focused on business process modeling, simulation and management
technology solutions, creating a suite of software products and
dedicated consulting and training services designed to meet a wide spectrum
of business process management needs. Currently, ITC is concentrating
on extending its proven technology into the e-world through development
of web-centered enterprise solutions.
Meir Levi,
the CEO of ITC, explains the need for the EPC:
"Now more than ever, businesses that wish to survive must improve
their efficiency, decrease their operating costs and focus on maximizing
the value delivered to their clients. We have developed a Process based
Framework and tools that allow business managers to take ownership of
their processes, collaborate with other process owners and capture the
knowledge critical to the overall performance of the organization. The
EPC positions enterprises to easily adapt and take advantage of market
opportunities with processes that are well designed, well managed and
flexible to changes. These enterprises will thrive - even in these uncertain
times."
