Modelers can import translated versions of documents. When published, the documents will be displayed to users in the language following their My Account preferences. This facilitates collaboration in a multilingual user base.

The three types of document that the user can modify the document path or file are:

  • File
  • File Link
  • URL

For File

  1. Select the checked out document to which translated versions of the file will be added.
  2. Right click and select Translate….
  3. Select File.
  4. Click Import under the appropriate language.
  5. In the file browser, select the translated version of the document (the file extension can differ from the original file).
  6. Click Open.
  7. In the translate window, click Open to preview the newly imported document.
  8. Click OK followed by Close to exit the translate window.
  9. Check in the object as in progress to make the modifications available to other modelers and as published to make the changes available to users on the Web Portal.

For File Link

  1. Select the checked out document to which translated versions of the file will be added.
  2. Right click and select Translate….
  3. Select File Link.
  4. Click Import under the appropriate language.
  5. In the file browser, select the translated version of the document (the file extension can differ from the original file).
  6. Click Open.
  7. In the translate window, click Open to preview the newly imported document.
  8. Click OK followed by Close to exit the translate window.
  9. Check in the object as in progress to make the modifications available to other modelers and as published to make the changes available to users on the Web Portal.

For URL

  1. Select the checked out document to which translated versions of the URL will be added.
  2. Right click and select Translate….
  3. Select URL.
  4. Modify the URL field in the appropriate language.
  5. Click OK followed by Close to exit the translate window.
  6. Check in the object as in progress to make the modifications available to other modelers and as published to make the changes available to users on the Web Portal.
