As a user working in the Modeler, how do I set my interface and content language?
EPC’s user interface is currently available in the following languages:
If one of these languages is selected from the express launch language drop down, the Modeler interface will be displayed in this language. Additionally, if data exists in the selected language, the content will also be displayed in this language. If content does not exist in the selected interface language, the content of the next highest rank – following the language priority set in the admin panel – will be displayed (data will be preceded by the language tag e.g.: [en]).
How does the language priority setting affect the interface and content language of the Modeler?
For example, the prioritized languages that are set in the admin panel are as follows:
If the database contains some data in English, Spanish and French, when the user selects French from the language drop down, then:
- Where content exists in French, the Modeler shows the French data.
- Where content does not exist in French but exists in English and Spanish, then the Modeler shows the English data preceded by [en] since English is the highest priority.
- Where content does not exist in French or in English but exists in Spanish, then the Modeler shows the Spanish data preceded by [es].
What happens if I set my Windows regional language settings as French and I select “English” from the express launch language drop down?
The Modeler will launch in English since the Express Launch language overrides the language chosen as the Windows regional language.
