1. Navigate to the Document Module.
  2. Click the New Document icon . The Add a Document dialog is displayed.
  3. In the Name text box, specify the SOP Name.
  4. Click the Standard Operating Procedure radio-button.
  5. Click the Add button. The SOP document is generated and listed in the documents tab.
  6. Click the Advanced tab.
  7. In the Processes section, click the Assign button.
  8. Select the process(es) to be assigned to the SOP. The selected process is listed in the Processes section.
  9. To include all child processes, click the Include Children checkbox.
  10. In the left frame, click:
    • a predefined Heading to populate the SOP Heading text box.
      OR
    • the tag to enter a custom heading in the SOP Heading text box.

11. If required, select another Template.

12. In the Appendices section, use the checkboxes to attach the appropriate appendices to the SOP.

13. In the Documents tab, Check In the SOP.

The document, containing all user-specified information, is automatically generated. The SOP document Status is either “In Progress” or “Published”.

14. To Open the SOP as a Word document, double-click the SOP document icon.

View an SOP draft

  1. Check Out the SOP.
  2. Right-click again and select Generate Draft.

A draft version of the SOP is generated.
