Business Process Analyst

About the job

Interfacing’s Professional Services team is looking for a highly motivated Business Process Analyst to join our team. Interfacing’s focus is to provide software solutions and management consulting services relating to Business Process Management. Within the Service Delivery team, you will run client engagements, with the goal being to ensure projects are completed successfully.

 

Project types fall into one of three categories:

  1. Management Consulting: With a focus in BPM, our large offering of independent consulting services varies from SOP development to Business Process Redesign.
  2. System Implementation: Implementing our flagship Enterprise Process Center (EPC) System
  3. Process Automation: Automating one or more processes with our RAD platform

 

The position is currently a remote opportunity. In the future, you may be required to travel worldwide to service Interfacing’s global client base.

 

Responsibilities

 

Process Management Consulting:

  • Model BPMN process maps and related documentation (swimlanes, data stores, tasks, gateways, automated activities, etc.)
  • Identify and model risks, controls, policies, KPIs, data elements, IT applications, documents and roles that interface with business process elements.
  • Identify process handoffs between roles and systems, as well as links to upstream and downstream processes.
  • Produce detailed Standard Operating Procedures and work instructions.
  • Model master/slave data relationships between applications, create advanced data dictionaries and design data governance across processes and systems.
  • Assist in business process improvement, process re-engineering and process design engagement to achieve business goals and increase efficiencies.
  • Perform maturity and criticality assessments.
  • Identify technical problems and develop solutions to support business objectives.
  • Assist in the implementation of designed business processes.
  • Elicit and understand business requirements and needs, with a focus on process automation.
  • Design workflow applications, including data structures, e-forms, automated business rules and process flows.
  • Collaborate with full stack developers and quality analysts as part of the SDLC.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to coordinate and streamline business processes.

 

Facilitation:

  • Lead digital workshops with clients to provide IT Consulting, Coaching, Training, etc.
  • Ability to conduct engaging system trainings and produce training material
  • Ability to produce and present project plans to a wide audience

 

Project Management: Collaborate with ITC clients to assure successful and timely project completions.

 

System implementation:

  • Performing the activities required to deploy a wide range of systems
  • Training users and recommending best practices
  • Designing solution governance (framework, data, workflows, etc.)
  • Converting and migrating data (process models and tabular data) using wizards, SQL, ETL and API calls

Qualifications

  • Bilingualism (English and French) verbal and written
  • University degree in Business, Technology management or equivalent
  • 3+ years experience with process modelling, process documentation or business process management
  • 3+ years experience in client-facing role

 

Knowledge

  • Expertise in business process management
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft tools (Excel, Project, SharePoint, Visio, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Knowledge in Agile software development
  • Knowledge in business technology and information systems
  • Knowledge in operations management

 

Required Skills

  • High degree of comfort in public speaking
  • Ability to facilitate workshops in a remote working environment
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work with teams in different time zones

Assets

  • ERP, CRM implementation experience (process modeling, standard operating procedures, requirements gathering, data migration, organizational change management, training)
  • Experience with MRO software and the Airline industry
  • Spoken languages other than English and French
  • Experience with SQL, Business Intelligence, Rapid Application Development, Software Development
  • ETL and data conversion/migration experience
  • Expertise in MS Excel (Advanced formulas, conditional formatting, pivot tables, nested if statements, vlookups, power query, VBA)
  • Web design (HTML, CSS, Javascript) for landing page development
